If I Had a Million Dollars by Timothy Jon Terry

If I had a millions dollars...
The Bare Naked Ladies (Thats a Band's Name..ok? no emails please) they had a funny tune years ago about if they had a million dollars what would they be doing it with it... I think we all have had that cross our minds...

We are inundated with sweepstakes offers, giving us a chance to win a million or millions..set for life... ahhh! We laugh , we joke about it, yet we all have entertained that thought.

So as I was looking at an advertisement for one such thing, it dropped in my spirit.. "Tim what if You had it already? Would You still associate with the same people....would they be those that are ones that would treat you any differently, would they be trustworthy. Think about it Brethren? Would the girlfriend or boyfriend be one you could be married to. Would You be using it to glorify God, and hanging out with a God Glorifying People or would You be hanging out partying with the World ?

These things ran across my mind, and then it dropped in my spirit...we believers already have it! Something priceless, far more precious than anything this world has to offer!

2 Corinthians 4:7, "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

Colossians 1:27, "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:"

Speaking of Christ Jesus it says this in Ephesians 1:7-14,

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8 Wherein he has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9 Having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of his glory.

So we have this treasure within, and we are called to treasure it and share the treasure within because of the rivers of endless waters that rush from within us. We share it with a life devoted and lived for Christ, and in that we are called to reach out sanctified by Him...to the World that is hurting... yet guarding that Heavenly deposit, so as we do not let our guards down on our hearts, and thus get weeds and roots that spring up and make our walk fruitless! Selah! Think about it....what are you doing with your Heavenly Deposit?
